Facilities & Concession Building, Nathan Phillips Square, Phase 1

Architect of Record: PLANT Architect Inc. in joint venture with Perkins + Will

The renovation and expansion of an existing Facilities and Concessions building servicing the public plaza and adjacent skating rink. Scope of work includes public washrooms, public change rooms, employee offices and storage, a rink monitor room, a Zamboni storage and melt pit, general storage, elevators, and exterior terrace with green roof.

From 2009-2014 Vis acted as a project architect at Perkins + Will Architects, Toronto. Working with an associate and design principal, Vis managed a team within the office from design development through contract documents. Scope included a Concession stand, Theatre building, Information Kiosk and Restaurant buildings. Vis managed the contract administration of the Concession Building (realized 2010) and the Theatre Building (realized 2012), and Queen St Forecourt entry building (realized 2014). He brings this experience to Praxis Office.
