M5V Presentation Centre, King Street W, Toronto
Designer of Record: TAS
Renovation of open light industrial building previously utilized as an automobile mechanic shop into a presentation centre showcasing new developments and proposed changes to the intersection of King St. West and Blue Jay Way in downtown Toronto. The exterior of the project was designed as a catalyst of urban change by transforming the previously derelict intersection through sheltered spaces for Transit users, seating and the inclusion of green spaces and artwork at street level. The interior of the project was transformed through new addition of daylight and gardens that filtered visitors away from the bustle of the street into quiet and calm interiors and show spaces.
From 2006 to 2009, Stanislav Jurkovic was a Design Leader and Project Manager with TAS. He brings this experience to Praxis Office.
